IBNA is a non-for profit organization; is NOT a recruitment agency, rather, IBNA seeks to focus on the internationally educated nurse already living legally in the United States. Philosophy. The International Bilingual Nurses Alliance is committed to improving the success of internationally educated nurses on the licensure process; performance on the United States of America (USA) healthcare setting; enhance their career; and indirectly affecting the health care needs of minority populations in the USA. We believe this can be accomplished by providing educational and professional activities for internationally educated nurses, thereby increasing the pool of bilingual nurses.
| Goals. The objectives of the International Bilingual Nurses Alliance are: a. To promote educational and professional advancement of internationally educated nurses by providing programs to enhance their competent performance in healthcare setting, ensuring patient safety and quality care. b. To promote research and seek solutions to licensure process and acculturation common to internationally educated nurses. c. To identify the contributions of internationally educated nurses to the health care and nursing practice in the d. To promote the professional relationships between national and international nursing accrediting and licensure bodies, schools of nursing and healthcare providers. e. To increase the number of licensed internationally educated nurses in graduate nursing programs in an effort to attain representation at all levels of professional nursing practice. |
